How MAX verification works
Exactly what we check before the badge goes on — and what we do not check.
The badge does not mean a venue is good. It means we checked the information ourselves.

What we verify
- An editor visits in person and looks at the rooms, seating and facilities.
- We take the price list, check each item and its party basis, and record the date.
- We ask the venue directly for the opening hours of each weekday and any closing day.
- We take the map coordinates on site. An address alone leaves you lost in an alley.
- We check on the spot whether Korean or Japanese is actually spoken.
What we do not verify
- We do not verify service quality or hygiene. The badge is about the accuracy of the information.
- We have no way to verify staff working conditions or legal status.
- Prices and hours can change after the date checked, which is why we always show that date.
- The badge is not an ad product. A venue cannot pay for it.
How often
We re-check prices at least every three months and update the date. If visitor reviews report amounts that drift from the listed rate, we re-check immediately.
If a venue has not been re-checked in six months, the badge comes off. Stale verification is not verification.
