What to know
Bars in Da Nang divide between the An Thuong expat strip and the rooftops along the Han River. The first is pubs and live music; the second is views and cocktails.
Unlike karaoke and clubs, bars bill by the seat, which makes the per-person figure the most predictable of any category here. It is the only category where adding people barely moves the per-person number.
A Danang bar price varies most between a beer and a cocktail, and rooftops add a view premium to the same glass.
How it works
- Pick your seat first. On rooftops, railing-side tables sometimes carry a minimum.
- Happy hour is common, usually 17:00–19:00 — the same glass at half the price.
- Some bars run a tab and settle on the way out; others charge per round. Ask on the first order.
Where money leaks
- Rooftops move indoors or close in rain. Check ahead on wet-season evenings (September–December).
- Nights with live music sometimes carry a cover charge.
- If a cocktail has no price on the menu, ask before ordering.

Usually not. Only rooftop view seats are worth booking at the weekend.
